Carefree and long-blooming, begonias in the Dragon Wing™ Series are popular tender perennials that are commonly used in containers or as summertime bedding plants. They result from crosses between semperflorens (wax) and cane-type (angel-wing) begonias.
These fibrous-rooted begonias bear lustrous, fleshy, asymmetrical leaves on knee-high, succulent stems. The dark green leaves may be tinted with bronze, depending on the cultivar or exposure to sunlight. These floriferous plants bloom from spring through frost, presenting small, loose clusters of waxy pink or red flowers that dangle downward. Plants are sterile hybrids that bear no seed.
