Ficus microcarpa 'Hawaii' is a decorative evergreen tree with boldly variegated large leaves of dark green, grey green and white. Fast growing. It has a bushy habit, and the leaves are thick and leathery. Grows in full sun to part shade, in all soil types. Though it can grow into a tree, it is also good for bonsai work. It grows aerial roots. When pruned or wounded, the plant exudes a milky sap which can cause irritation. Feed with a general purpose fertiliser if needed.
